Meet Kendra Dee

Hey There! I’m an engineer turned photographer… Yes, we all saw that coming. 😉 Anywho-here are a quick fun facts about me.

As I’m you’ve already guessed- my name is Kendra! The Dee part is a nickname given to me by my mom.

Born and raised in the DC Metro Area, I love city life, but am a country girl at heart.

I love shoes, but would prefer to go barefoot.

To me, nothing comes before family.. I am a sucker for a stolen glance, kiss on the forehead, or a family caught laughing at an inside joke.

I just love capturing Love! … whether it’s a soon to be mom longing to meet her little one, a bright-eyed, fat cheeked new born, or a couple gazing into each other’s eyes.

I’ve been fascinated with cameras and PhotoShop since I was a kid…literally (and am completely self taught, when it comes to all things photography, graphic design, etc. yes- I am a total geek at heart. ). : D

I am not just a photographer. When it comes to my business/your wedding or any photo shoot, I am a customer service rep, an artist, a storyteller, a risk management specialist, a home decorator, a stray-hair fixer, a lint roll roller, a make-up retoucher, a tie straightener, a listening ear, and most importantly, a friend who is there to look out for your best interests and capture your moments.

Relationship Status: I am a widow … and was able to spend almost 2 years married to this really awesome guy named Chris- May he Rest In Peace! <3 One day- I'll be married again. I'll keep you posted on that. 😉 Kids: A very handsome Fur-Baby – (Yorkshire Terrier)

Favorite Past-Time: Uhmm.. besides photography, I like horseback riding, traveling, fishing, dancing, and anything that involves tequila (or Johnny Walker Double Black), giving back, family/friends… or a random adventure. <3 What I like most about being a photographer: I love meeting new people, making them smile, and feel good about themselves. Most people are usually shy about their photo shoots at first, then after a few minutes, they realize how naturally beautiful they are and it just shows through the lens : }
